Chicago Collective

Chicago Collective is a semi-annual trade show that takes place in January & August at the Chicago Merchandise Mart. It showcases men's apparel garments for the next upcoming season for buyers from around the Midwest and has become an important national show as well. Everything from tailored apparel, sportswear, shoes & ties + a special Big & Tall section. I project manage the installation & dismantle of six booths for the HMX Group: Hart Schaffner Marx, Austin Reed London, Bobby Jones, Hickey Freeman, Coppley & WORN. These six labels run the gamut from traditional tailored apparel, updated tailored apparel, outerwear, golf performance apparel, fashion forward jeans and sportswear. The original sleek white booth concept was co-designed by the former Director of Visual Merchandising and myself to incorporate a mobile, adaptable show floor fixture that could accommodate a wide range of applications for shelves, hang rail, graphics and mannequin forms. Other booth re-designs followed and the new label WORN is evolving in it's booth presence. Included in these images is the most recent show in January 2012 and several past seasons:

PGA Merchandise Show Orlando Florida

The PGA Merchandise Show is held annually in late January in Orlando Florida at the Orange County Convention Center. It showcases both golf equipment as well as apparel. To walk the show floor is an experience to see everything related to golf - and not just clubs, balls etc. The apparel showcased here runs the gamut too - from performance apparel to country club leisure wear. I project manage the installation of the 40' x 50' Bobby Jones booth for the HMX Group New York, NY. This relates to all aspects of the installation and dismantle in conjunction with their exhibit company, CEP, based in Chicago, IL as well as working with the Bobby Jones apparel designers in coordinating and styling all of the mannequins. There is also special attention in regard to lighting - a separate lighting company, Canavan, based in Orlando is brought in to design the lighting for the booth. Canavan specializes in theatrical lighting which is definitely required for the Bobby Jones booth with it's second floor level booth banners showcasing the images of the iconic Mr. Jones. I co-designed this booth with the former Visual Merchandising Director, Robert Greco, with CEP executing all of the technical drawings and production of the finished booth.
